DESCRIPTION: Founder, Lindsey Thalheimer began experimenting with locally sourced products while getting her start in her career as a pastry chef in Brooklyn. Lindsey wanted to go beyond the traditional kitchen procedures and processes, and look further into the building blocks of making quality food. Lindsey spent a year with the ‘Willing Workers on Organic Farms’ (WWOOF), which connects a network of small, organic farmers across the country with willing volunteers who work a variety of jobs on farms in exchange for room, board and authentic, first hand farming experience. That time became the foundation of the passion behind Eltee’s Goods and her first product, Tommy Jam. With a passion for cultivating community through food and after immersing herself in the local farmers markets in Brooklyn, Lindsey established Eltee’s Goods in 2019. Featuring local tri- state, in-season tomatoes, Tommy Jam has a pound of tomatoes in every 8 ounce jar, and showcases a sweet and subtly spicy spread that is the perfect addition to any kitchen. The trio of jams include Hot Tommy, Tommy en Provence, and the original Tommy Jam. Each homemade, small batch of jams has no preservatives, additives or thickeners. Hot Tommy is made with fresh habaneros which brings a powerful kick to every bite, while Tommy en Provence offers a more rich flavor that has an herbaceous taste.
