We offer a Spring Farm Share for Lower Manhattan residents and workers at our non-profit indoor farmers market on the historic South Street waterfront. Subscribe for 13 weeks of your choice of 18 share options of high-quality local farm products and freshly prepared local foods: vegetables, fruit, sprouts, eggs, bread, mushrooms, farmstead cheese, fresh pasta, seafood, beef, buffalo beef, chicken, pork (pork & lamb), trout & lox, buffalo dairy, soup, charcuterie, & local flowers.
HOW IT WORKS:
– Choose from 18 share options of fresh local foods & farm products directly from our farmers and local producers.
– Weekly pickup is at Fulton Stall Market, 91 South Street, NYC, Thursday 4–6 PM or Friday 11:30–5 PM.
– We will keep your shares under refrigeration. If not picked up by Saturday at 5 PM we will donate them.
– Bring your own shopping bag to pick up your shares.
SPRING CSA FARM SHARE OPTIONS:
– VEGETABLES from Rogowski Farm, Pine Island, NY. Fresh asparagus, baby head lettuce, herbs, mesclun, radishes, nettles, watercress, spring onions, baby leafy greens, baby garlic, fresh-cut microgreens and pea and sunflower shoots in season. Late winter root and bean crops. 6–7 varieties weekly. Chemical free. Weekly farm notes & recipes from MacArthur grant-winning farmer Cheryl Rogowski. Pre-bagged. ($30/week = $390)
– FRUIT from Breezy Hill Orchard, Staatsburg, NY. Sustainably grown Hudson Valley varietal apples—Snapdragon, Jonagold, Cameo, Braeburn, Golden Delicious, Evercrisp, and more; rhubarb, strawberries. Optional: Fresh-pressed apple cider; or farm-baked apple or other fruit pie. Up to 5 pounds of apples; or 4 pounds + 1/2 gallon of fresh-pressed apple cider; or 2 pounds + farm-baked apple or other fruit pie. ($20/week = $260)
– SPROUTS from Union Square Grassman, Brooklyn, NY. Rotation of alfalfa, lentil, sweet pea, mung bean, chickpea, wheatgrass, & broccoli sprouts. Organic seed (4 ounces). ($9/week = $117)
– EGGS from Knoll Krest Farm, Clinton Corners, NY. One dozen large freshly-laid eggs each week from free-running hens. No antibiotics or hormones. ($9/week = $117)
— BREAD from Orwashers, NY’s Original Artisan Bakery, NYC. Made with locally sourced grains. Rotation of rustica, sourdough, miche, whole wheat, raisin pumpernickel., seeded rye, pane di casa, Swiss health, challah and ale. 1 loaf per week. ($9/week = $117)
– MUSHROOMS from Bulich Mushroom Farm, Catskill, NY and MyShrooms, Queens, NY. Rotation of cremini, shiitake, oyster (blue, gold, Italian), portobello, lion’s mane, king trumpet, pioppino, and white button varieties. Approximately ½ pound weekly. ($12/week = $156)
– FARMSTEAD CHEESE rotation from Cato Corner Farm, Colchester, CT (cow); Riverine Ranch, Washington, NJ (buffalo); Valley Shepherd Creamery, Long Valley, NJ (sheep); Tonjes Farm Dairy, Callicoon, NY (cow); Ardith Mae Farm, Stuyvesant, NY (goat). Approximately ½ pound; goat 6.5–8 ounces. ($15/week = $195)
– FRESH PASTA from Knoll Krest Farm, Clinton Corners, NY. Gourmet fresh pasta from farm eggs and local produce. Rotation of spinach, whole wheat, carrot, kale, & plain fettuccine, and double spinach cheese ravioli (12 ounces) (refrigerated). ($9/week = $117)
– SEAFOOD from Catch of the Hamptons, Hampton Bays, NY and American Pride Seafood, Farmingdale, Long Island, NY. Just-landed, catch-of-the-day fresh: wild-caught lemon sole (fluke), grey sole, sea bass, cod, flounder, hake, king whiting, John Dory, kingfish, sea trout, clean squid, skate, mackerel, tuna, swordfish, pollack, sea scallops, porgy, monkfish bluefish, and striped bass. 1–1.5 pounds fillet; 2 pounds whole & cleaned. Indicate choice of fillet (F) or whole (W) on the sign-up form. ($27/week = $351)
– BEEF from Fat Apple Farm, Pine Plains, NY. Grass-fed. Regenerative and ethical livestock farming practices. Rotation of rib steak, sirloin, stew meat, skirt steak, ground beef, beef patties, hot dogs, sausages, etc. 1+ pound per week. (Frozen). ($34/week = $442)
– BUFFALO BEEF from Riverine Ranch, Washington, NJ. Pastured and grass-fed rotation of Buffalo beef including: top sirloin, NY strip steak, short ribs, rib-eye, ground meat, flank steak, chuck steak, filet mignon, chip steak, stew meat, shin bone, boneless sirloin, kebabs, burgers, patties, and sausages. 1 to 2 pounds per week based on cut. High protein, low-fat, low cholesterol, high vitamins & minerals. No antibiotics or hormones. Sustainable Certified River-Friendly farming practices. (Frozen). ($34/week = $442)
– HERITAGE CHICKEN from Greenane Farms, Delhi, NY (Catskill Watershed). Raised raised humanely on pasture grasses, non-GMO feeds and goat-milk whey. No hormones or antibiotics. Rotation of whole chicken, skinless/boneless chicken breasts, skinless/boneless thighs, skin-on/bone-in thighs, drumsticks, and ground chicken. 2–2.5 pounds per week (whole chicken: 3–3.5 pounds) (Frozen). ($27/week = $351)
– PORK (PORK/LAMB) from Shannon Brook Farm, Watkins Glen, NY. Certified organic. Pasture-raised and fed with certified organic feed. Rotation of pork chops, bacon ends, thin sliced ham, ground pork, smoked hocks, hot dogs, smoked ham, & sausage: breakfast, Italian, andouille, chorizo, kielbasa. Approximately 2 pounds per week. LAMB option available beginning April: shanks, ground, shoulder chops for stew, neck roasts. Circle P or P/L on form. (Frozen). ($34/week = $442)
– TROUT & LOX from Hudson Valley Fisheries, Hudson, NY. Rotation of fresh steelhead trout fillet (8 ounces), cold-smoked steelhead “trout lox” (4 ounces), and hot-smoked steelhead trout fillet (4 ounces). From their state-of-the-art land-based sustainable aquaculture farm. Chemical-free. (Frozen). ($16/week = $208)
– BUFFALO DAIRY from Riverine Ranch, Washington, NJ. Rotation of Buffalo dairy products including: mozzarella (6 ounces), ricotta (12 ounces), yogurt — fruit & plain (12 ounces), mango lassi (16 ounces), labneh (8 ounces) and paneer (12 ounces), kefir (16 ounces), and Buffalo milk (1 quart). Probiotic and thermophilic cultures. Sustainable Certified River-Friendly farming practices. ($16/week = $208)
– SOUP from Kitchen 36, New York, NY. Rotation of home-made vegan soups: Black Bean, Mushroom Barley, White Bean & Kale, Lentil, Carrot-Ginger Puree, Red Bean, Spilt Pea, & Chili. (32 ounces). Frozen/quick defrost, low salt, no preservatives, food coloring or artificial ingredients. ($20/week = $260)
– CHARCUTERIE from Walnut Hill Farm, Pawlet, VT. Italian-style salami and other specialty cured meats grown and crafted from pastured animals and grain. Rotation of Alpino (juniper spiced); Calabrese (spicy chorizo-type with smoked paprika & red pepper); Finocchiona (aromatic and sweet with fennel seed); & Milano (classic soppressata-like, seasoned with red wine, garlic, & black pepper) (4 ounces) (refrigerated). Gorgeous fresh-picked peonies, ranunculus, anemones, roses, sweet pea, poppies, snapdragons, asters, cornflowers, snowballs, lilacs, dianthus, daisies, larkspur, etc. A beautiful table complement to your CSA food shares.
